Mike Kinkel
CEO & Project Manager
Mike is the CEO of Custom Controls of Arizona. He is the team leader and project manager overseeing estimating, product design and project support & oversight from start to finish of each custom control panel. Mike has more than 20 years of experience in the Industrial Automation & Controls industry.
Owen Maurer
Production Manager
Owen has been with Custom for 15 years and the Production Manager Position for 10 of those years. Owen oversees Safety, The Production Schedule, Forecasting, Labor Tracking, Line development, Production Growth, Hiring, and Employee Reviews. Owen is also a Lead in Panel Building, LEAN, FLOW, TESTING, Waste Elimination, and Quality Control.
Isaac Maurer
Shop Supervisor/Lead
Panel Builder
Isaac provides leadership, support and panel building knowledge on the shop floor. He also project manages and oversees a few of Custom Controls primary labor only customers. Isaac’s passion is setting the tone for efficiency, customer expectations and the highest standard for panel building quality. He has more than 10 years of experience at Custom Controls in manufacturing and panel building.
Joel Leon
Panel Builder
Lead/Shipping & Receiving
Joel provides support in the custom department under the management team, while enhancing his leadership skills and assisting his team members in the other custom control panel areas. Joel is responsible for the LEAN flow of receiving inventory, staging, and RMA while continuously improving the process to achieve minimal waste.
Connor Estrada
Panel Builder/Field Technician
Connor is responsible for building custom control panels for long-standing clients. His experience has enabled him to be familiar with standard panels and has given him the opportunity to lead by example for newer team members. He also has experience working as a field technician for Custom Controls. Connor’s field experience includes: 24/7 service for data centers as well as necessary panel updates/customer changes in the field.
Isai Leon
Panel Builder
Isai is a new member to the Custom Controls team. His basic responsibilities include cleaning, organization, prepping parts, assembling, wiring panels, and inventory, shipping / receiving, and helping out our panel builder leads when needed on large scale projects.
Alex Toth
Project Manager
With more than 14 years of experience in the HVAC/Industrial Automation & Controls industry, Alex provides our clients with start to finish project management for their panels. This includes estimating, quoting, design, product development and product support. He has been with CCAZ since 2010, where he specializes in HVAC and UL508a applications.
Ronnie Miller
IT / Field Service Manager / PLC Logic Programmer
Ronald provides sales with information on PLCs and future product development. His main task is providing our customers with a positive experience when starting-up and troubleshooting equipment.
Aaron Dotterer
Purchasing & Office manager
Aaron processes jobs and orders, needed components, ensuring that the team has what they need in a timely and efficient manner. He also handles other overhead responsibilities including AP and AR, freight, and inventory. Aaron has been at CCAZ since 2014.
Pierre Blouin
Panel builder
Pierre is a new member to the Custom Controls team. His basic responsibilities include cleaning, organization, prepping parts, assembling, wiring panels, and inventory, shipping / receiving, and helping out our panel builder leads when needed on large scale projects.
